About LBAPS
LBAPS is dedicated to serving children with special needs nationwide. Our mission is to empower families and improve lives through compassionate, innovative support and services. We’re growing our team to enhance operational efficiency and scale our impact.
About the Role
We’re seeking a driven, systems-oriented Automation & Integrations Engineer to own and build our internal automation infrastructure. You’ll transform manual workflows into efficient, reliable, and scalable systems that save time, reduce errors, and increase throughput. Collaborating directly with our business teams—including marketing, sales, operations, and content—you’ll develop automations that streamline key processes and help us serve children and families better.
This is a full-time, on-site role embedded within our operations team. You will be hands-on in building, maintaining, and continuously improving automations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain automation workflows using platforms such as Zapier, Make.com (formerly Integromat), n8n, Workato, Microsoft Power Automate, IFTTT, or custom scripting.
- Build bots (chatbots, outreach bots, internal bots) to automate tasks like lead qualification, data entry, customer follow-up, content scheduling, and reminders.
- Automate content pipelines, including blog posting, content distribution, social media scheduling, RSS-to-blog workflows, webhooks, and content formatting.
- Automate outreach workflows, such as email sequences, follow-ups, CRM updates, lead scoring, and triggered messaging.
- Integrate telephony systems and APIs for calls, call-logging, and call workflows.
- Design data capture and logging systems to automatically collect, store, normalize, and sync data across CRMs, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Build dashboards, error handling, monitoring, alerts, and fallback logic for all automations.
- Document workflows, logic, dependencies, integrations, and data flows in clear, maintainable formats.
- Audit and refactor existing automations to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, product, and sales teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
- Train non-technical staff on safely using and maintaining automations.
- Stay current with new tools, API developments, and best practices, recommending or piloting new automation platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience creating automation flows using tools like Zapier, Make.com, n8n, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, HTTP requests, JSON, and data transformation techniques such as mapping, filtering, and conditional logic.
- Strong logical thinking and troubleshooting skills, including debugging broken automations and handling edge cases.
- Experience integrating multiple SaaS systems, including CRMs, email platforms, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Excellent documentation skills for clearly outlining workflows, dependencies, and fallback logic.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business requirements into technical workflows.
- Capacity to build scalable systems that can grow, be reused, and maintained over time.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership — understanding that broken automations have real operational costs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
